Giving With Sunny began with a simple belief: that kindness should be creative, inclusive, and accessible to everyone.
My journey with fundraising started when I was just 10 years old. In 2012, I organised my first fundraiser with a friend for Meci UK, a charity I had heard about at the time. It was the first time I had taken real ownership of something, and I loved every moment. Together, we raised £300, but more importantly, I discovered how powerful generosity and community can be (and also that I really enjoy being in charge).
Over the years, fundraising stayed in the background of my life, but in 2024 it became something much bigger. After raising £800 for Shelter, I realised that fundraising was not just something I enjoyed. It was a true passion and a special interest. The joy and sense of purpose I felt in that moment made it clear that this was something I wanted to build long term.
Planning is where I thrive. Whether it is holidays, events, or creative challenges, I love turning ideas into reality. Honestly, if something can be colour coded, spreadsheet-ed, or turned into a checklist, I am already excited about it. Giving With Sunny was created as a way to channel that passion into something positive, structured, and sustainable. Each fundraiser is designed to be creative, engaging, and accessible, showing that charity does not have to feel traditional, overwhelming, or boring.
I also live with chronic illness and disability, including chronic plantar fasciitis. Living with chronic pain has shaped the way I see the world and helped me understand how easy it can be to feel limited or overlooked. Giving With Sunny exists to show that everyone can make a difference, regardless of their circumstances. You do not have to run a marathon or organise a huge event. Even a £1 donation can change someone’s life (and if enough people do it, that adds up very quickly).
Through this platform, I support a wide range of charities and share the journey on YouTube to reach more people and build a community centered around kindness. The goal is simple. I want to inspire generosity in a world that often feels divided, and to make supporting important causes feel meaningful, creative, and even fun. Sometimes that means tattoos, themed challenges, or slightly chaotic ideas along the way.
In the future, I hope Giving With Sunny will grow into a recognised organisation that runs large scale events, partners with charities, and inspires others through speaking and storytelling.
At its heart, Giving With Sunny is about kindness, inclusivity, creativity, and fun. Every campaign, every donation, and every act of support helps create real impact.
